My friend who goes to the gym is addicted to steroids.
Like he legit uses it like food or alcohol. He has cravings for a steroid injection.
Ever since he started using steroid he has a body similar to the ones we see in videos like Cbum or CT Fletcher. However they have started taking a toll on him.
He has severe achne and his hairfall problem was getting so out of control that he has started shaving his head.
He recently even put up a Instagram story which said "I Love Steroids" and the photo had a collection of needles.
He is so hooked that he even feels the need to flex how much he uses gear.
I feel he is damaging himself. How do I stop him before it is too late.
He is too young to be using steroids anyways.
On a side note he has always come out as Bi-curious. I am not sure if it is related to his steroid usage or something totally unrelated but I just thought I mention it aswell if a sudden and unexpected attraction towards men is also a side effect of steroid over use.

Man, that's really concerning about your friend. Steroid addiction is no joke. Here's what I would try:
First, talk to him as a friend, not in an attacking way. Tell him you care about his health and want to help. Point out the real side effects like hair loss, acne, mood issues. Show him studies on long term risks like heart problems.
Offer support with healthy living instead. Propose working out together without gear. Cook clean mealpreps for him so he's not tempted. Distract with hobbies when he gets cravings.
Talking to a steroid expert doctor together could help too. Hearing the medical facts from a professional might make it sink in more.
You could also stage an intervention with other friends. Speak from the heart, say you'll lose him if he keeps using. Have rehab info ready if he wants help.
See if a counselor can work through underlying issues driving the addiction. Sometimes people use to self-medicate emotional pain.
Hopefully showing you care about HIS wellbeing, not just his looks, will help motivate him to care for himself. But you can't force change - he has to want help too. I hope he listens before it's too late, good luck man. Let me know if any other advice would help.
