Why do men get upset when females change their appearance?

Have had many male coworkers come up to me and question why I have changed my hair colour. They almost seem upset. Like sorry I don’t fit into your box of attraction anymore but im gonna do what I want with my hair. 😂

Well, you must have heard " Men are visual creatures". For a man physical looks and appeal matters. Yes how much importance they give is totally subjective to a man.

That does not mean you should do something so that men find you physically good looking/appealing, not unless you want to do it out of your will. Of course you can do whatever you want with your looks/hair etc.

It seems odd that anyone would get upset at hair color changes.
I would likely be a bit concerned if my wife came home with multiple piercings and a completely new "look" - strange wardrobe changes, different way of talking, etc. I don't think you're referring to any changes that extreme.
