Attention spans are shortening for a wide variety of reasons (instant gratification for nearly every desire, focus on efficiency, hurried work and home life, etc). This spills over into friendships and romantic relationships.
Show patience and it will eventually be returned 😊

Because they don´t invest in something long term. I also people prefer short term fun over something long term and long lasting because the short term seems more entertaining and fun while the long term can involve times of boredom something many people prefer to avoid.
