Why did my friend go silent when I invited him to a group activity?

It was a meetup bad movie club night and my besties and I and many others are going. He just went silent after he tried to persuade me to join an Asperger’s meetup event and said his sister isn’t going and I said no, invite your guy mates. I’ve tried reaching out since, but he won’t respond. Did I do something wrong?
