Why did he start to ignore me and speak to my friend?

This guy I have history with has recently been at the same party as me, but he completely ignored me, didn't even say hi. Then when I was with a (female) friend in a bathroom line he started talking to my friend without even looking at me. He even mentioned me to her, while completely ignoring me.

Does he like her, or was he trying to get a reaction out of me? I just don't understand why he would do it right in front of me.
