Where did/do your parents shine & struggle when offering you or others advice?

I don't know why it would be considered a struggle when your parents offer you advice. They have been around a lot longer than us, so it would behoove you to listen to them. At least before it goes out the other ear. Years later you will be say, "Damn! Wish I would have listened to my parents." :(

My dad has good self-care advice, but bad relationship advice. My mom has good housecleaning advice, but bad medical advice.
