What is the weirdest and the most unfair thing your parents did to you?

Virtually all of my mothers abuse was emotional , it took me years to work out it was actual abuse , the absolute worst? That's really difficult to answer , but I grew up to be extremely independent , I didn't like her much , I like her even less now I have analysed all this stuff.

The good part was , it made me consider carefully the meaning of being a good parent.

Not weird, but sexist, though I understand their motivations as an older adult.

My brother, four years older than me and very low-key, was given a lot more freedom, the keys to the car, which he wrecked at 17... I had to ask and beg repeatedly to get some, and I repeat some of the save privileges as my brother.

That is the biggest beef I had against my parents. Otherwise, they were pretty OK and very good people.

Removing the door of my bed room as a teen as punishment, kinda bizzare. Was a one time thing tho, so no hard feelings.

But so wrong on many levels, the right for privacy shouldn't be touched. Punishment should involve the removal of privileges like supply of pocket money not necessities.

A door isn't a necessity, lol. You grew up privileged if your parents gave you money. That is why such a mild punishment seems like too much for you.

The translation is basically "a requierement" in my language. But maybe we have different views on how important privacy is.

Your wording in that context highly suggested, that I have no right to judge this as to much of a punishment because I grew up privileged.

I don't know about weird but unfair was probably they took better care of my siblings than they did me.

Having to bathe with my sister when we were both little. I found that weird and unfair, but I laugh about it now.
