Depends on the person. If it’s a friend that I don’t see often or a coworker, then no big deal. But if it’s family, my partner or my best friend who’ve forgotten, then it’d be a little hurtful but not a massive deal.

No. I don't do birthdays. Not mine, and not anyone else's. The entire topic is just a festering pit of drama and strife. Same with anniversaries, though those aren't really relevant any more. Unbirthdays are far better. Lewis Carroll had the right idea. As I explained to some of my friends in the past: I'd rather find something that would make the perfect gift to someone and just give it to them any which when without any obligation than end up obliged to get them something and it being something crappy as a result. So that is what I do. I will randomly give gifts to friends on any of the 364 days of the year when it is NOT their birthday... assuming I even know when their birthday is, which I usually don't.

Obviously if it was my husband or members of my family, then I would feel somewhat upset and disappointed. However in reality... It's just another day!

nope... I actually prefer it that way, and I do not usually celebrate my birthdays besides my mother and a couple of very stubborn close friends... nobody reminds me of it... lol

Depends on how close we are. From my closest family or partner I would expect remembering about my birthday. And I think I would feel sad if they forgot. The rest of the world is not invited :D
