It depends on how close of a friend they are:
I will admit most of my friends that have known me for 5+ years STILL forget my birthday! Does it bother me? Yeah, of course, especially if I take the time to not only remember theirs but try to do something nice for them. Nowadays you can put reminders on your phone, social media has reminders... so there's not much excuse to forget someone's birthday if they're supposedly a good friend.
I won't fuss at them about it if they forget, but I do make mental notes about things like that for future reference.
No, but I took it personally this year because not one friend wished me a happy birthday. And then I took it out on the friend who has NEVER wished me a happy birthday. The thing is she’s the same friend who I invited to all my baby showers and she’s never come or given my baby a gift. She’s not there for me at all during the good times in my life, but she was a good supporter during the bad times except this last time when my life was on the line. She wasn’t there for me at all. We aren’t friends anymore cuz of it
no because im bad with dates and i will forget everyone’s birthdays, no matter who it is. all of my closer friends and family have told me their birthdays leading up to it just so that i will not forget. they do it as a public service to me. i very much appreciate it.
I would, yes 😠 One of my best friends during my childhood would usually forget it. Every year, I’d ask him when my birthday was, and the most he could say was “It’s sometime in August, right?”, even when I always remembered his exact date with ease 😒 Needless to say, I’m not friends with him nowadays, but I hope if I ever do make a friend as closely as I was with him, they’ll remember it like their own birthday 🎁🎉🎈
I am terrible at remembering birthdays, in fact I only remember 3 my ex's, my grandfather's, and the most recent girl to steal my heart. I even forget my own. But everyone's different. You friend may think you don't want to be reminded and didn't want to bring it up or maybe they're scatter brained like me and simply spaced it.

It is impossible for any of my close friends to forget my birthday.
I make it such a big deal and will talk non stop about it a month in advance.
So I can't really imagine that.
But if my best friends close friend forgot their birthday I'd be upset.
No, there was a point when I used to feel bad.. But I dont think of my birthday as a day where all my friends are going to wish me. I know some of them will definitely forget and its okay. Also because I am one of the people who forgets birthdays 😂 can't expect much from others if I myself am like this! 😂😂
I had my birthday show on Facebook and several friends didn’t wish me happy birthday, I know they was on Facebook that day because their activity showed it, I’ve literally seen everyone of them wish all our mutual friends happy birthday so I took it very personally, it just showed who my real friends were, I’m no longer friends with any of the ones that chose to ignore me.
I personally always forget important dates and birthdays, I have forgotten my best friends birthday so many time now that she questiones our friendship. Maybe your friend is a forgetful person who doesn’t celebrate birthdays/ had another upbringing? It is ok to feel sad if someone forgets it regardless, as long as you can remember that everyone is different with celebration and don’t mean any harm. If they are good to you but only forget your birthday I don’t think you should worry
yes, if the person completely ignored me and didn't mention my birthday at all. I was lenient if the person excused for forgetting of my birthday, because I did it in the past as well.
Facebook has birthday notifications. My sister will probably treat me for my birthday and that's about it. No parties, no fanfare for turning 47. Maybe I'll go hit a bar and do some karaoke. Wanna join me?
No, I think if you have a lot on your mind, it can be easy for it to slip your mind. Sometimes people accidentally mix up dates, too.
Maybe just plan a late bday celebration and invite her and say you were busy on your actual birthday.

I have not celebrated my birthday since i was 16 years old. So obviously i wouldn't care, it's no big deal.
Happened to me when I was 21 me and my best friend at the time a big plans for my birthday but in the day off he completely forgot. Hurt pretty bad.
