My friend didn't say happy birthday to me?

I'm a 23F and I've had a friend that I talk to every single day for the last 2 years. He knows it's my birthday, and our mutuals have even said "happy birthday" to me. My friend has liked a post of my cake, he also spent the day viewing my post. I spoke to him briefly today, he still never said it and then he avoided me the rest of the day.

he's just very, very aware what day it is and I feel kind of hurt that he didn't say anything (given I spend time with him everyday).

what would y'all do? would you be offended as well?
