Why do people criticise me for living with my grandparents at 28?

that's no ones business. best to keep your personal life private. there's no reason they need to know why either. also, cut them out of your life while you're at it. anyone who criticizes someone for this when they don't even know the full story has no place in your life

Because they can. If it makes you feel better people will do that any age or income. My mother and I live together. I'm wealthy by most people's measurements. But she over 80yrs. Old and alone. I wouldn't want her living by herself.

As long as you're respectful of your grandparents and working each day to better yourself f*** what others think.

people have to do things for different reasons. prices are absurdly high right now. maybe your grandparents need your care or companionship. it could be anything. it's no one's business but your own

It only matters if you care what they think, which you obviously shouldn't. Sure, in U. S. culture, living with family after a certain age is less common, but that definitely doesn't mean it's a bad thing. But that's probably "why," because it is less common. Anyhow, I hope you won't let it bother you at all.
