Does anyone else have a friend who makes everything about themselves?

we only really text bc something happens in their life and I’m constantly giving advice (which they never listen to — but I still give advice and help). But the rare times I talk about something happened with me, it’s somehow flipped to it being about them and making the convo about them all over.

They have trouble making conversation or how to reply and only make it about themselves is because they use that to relate to you as that's what happened to them but instead of making it about you they make it about themselves lol

yeah I’m just like I don't know how to continue to engage with someone who always talks about them 98% of the time with barely asking how I’m doing. And then the rare case I talk about me, they somehow still make it about them.
