Do you get mad when people repeat their opinion to you because they disagree with you?

I had some people I argued with get mad at me because I kept telling them i feel differently to them and I disagreed with them with my opinion and it seemed to make them mad.

this reminds me of my friend which is why i don't tell her my opinion or stance on anything lol she's so harsh, believes her opinion is the right one and that my opinion makes me a bad person? so yeah, i used to get mad but then i just gave up and stopped telling her anything. so when this happens, you can state your opinion, but once the other person starts getting all upset and defensive, i leave it. some people act like children

Any advice on how to get rid of people like these?

well i wish i could but i'm also friends with their sibling so it's very hard to hang out with them separately so i just deal with it. give as little information about your life as possible. only contact them when they contact you. basically "smile and wave" lol
but i would just stop talking to them if i could. toxic people don't deserve friendships

and like, you can't change peoples minds or win with them so you kinda just have to take the higher ground because they will never change

me too. which is why is just nod and say okay and leave it at that

But what if it bothers you what they say? I can't just leave it

i know, it bothers me too. but eventually you just get sick of arguing because they won't change their stance and it gets nowhere

Not really. It just demonstrates their lack of thoughtfulness and attachment to something that’s usually wrong. It’s more a signal to remind you they’re not worth arguing with…
