  I realise I'm going to sound pretentious as hell but here goes:
  I was always an incredibly easy kid to be around 💀 There's a big difference between liking your child and loving them. They loved us both but my brother was very unlikable. So my parents kiiinda had a favourite (though they called it having a 'best kid' which would shift between us if I ever did something bad) and they almost always treated me nicer than my brother.
  He'd often get in trouble, disrespect my parents, go against their requests, receive awful grades, etc. So yeah, there were more reasons to reprimand him over me

  @Simslover92 Some kids will not behave, even if you take away their privileges, such as being able to play video games. Now I don't mean beat them within an inch of their life, but if it doesn't smart some they will just laugh it off and keep on what they are doing, while laughing at you behind your back. However, if you train your kids up right from a young age your method might work. Now, when kids get to jr. high and up, they may be swayed by other kids and maybe get into mischief. That's better known as falling in with the wrong crowd. You also see that prison does not deter bad behavior either, except for the truly good people.

  @Orangekiss that's true. I still believe it may not be necessary. I've seen some kids grow up without ever getting spanked and turned out fine. I will guess just have to wait and see if taking away their privileges will be enough. If not then I will resort to the last thing which will be a spanking but I don't want to have to do that if a good talking to and taking away privileges is enough.
