During a small argument, my wife of 5 years brought back the times I used to go clubbing with friends and at times stood her up on a date.

At the time, we were just in our 5 month of our relationship. Sure I wasn't that serious back then but that ages ago and we were much younger. That was 2014. I thought that was worked out and it's been a long time since I haven't been who I was back then.

So women (well in general) never forget don't they? You can do 100 good things and she'll still remember the one negative thing you did or didn't do.

I haven't even thought about what she brought back. At this moment, I can't imagine acting that immature. It did caught me by surprise when she brought up that one.

Don't you think that's exaggerated? We have an otherwise stable marriage overall. Having small arguments (they get solved afterwards) is normal, to be expected. It's just that caught me by surprise. I thought she had long forgotten about that time.

It's pretty normal for people to struggle to forget things that hurt them. But yes I do think that making a whole post complaining about one's spouse is pretty extreme.
