That's is truly horrible. How could a man do that to a girl and his child. I know you asked about men but I wouldn't let a girl do that either. I have nothing against single mothers but if I'm going to date a girl with kids I would want her to be apart of the kids life unless she had her child adapted into a loving family. But to date a girl with kids I would need to know what happened and why her and the guy are not together anymore. Some reasons I would expect others I would be completely against.

What does it say about anyone who could abandon a child? Irrespective of relationship with the mother, they should be there for the child. If someone can leave their child they can leave anyone

Absolutely not, I wouldn’t date any man with a child who is under two. If I ever did date a man with kids he’d have to be very transparent on why things with the mother of his child didn’t work out and I’d have to make sure he is involved in his kids life and a great father.
