It depends on what the status is... it is a hard dump? Is he still alive? If a man put a baby in the girl, that is a little bit more than claim to her, that is a claim to a child. It really depends on the situation, is he ok with you dating her, does he want you to date her, are his parents ok with you dating her, so many things come into play... and this asks where is the girl in this... sadly a girl can get a bit lost in situations like this, that is why I personally think marriage should happen before sex because things can get messy otherwise...
