Am I in the wrong for not watching a 30 min vodeo my friend sent me?

I was telling my friend about a game I started playing I thought was cool. He then brought up another game, and said that I should play it with him sometime, then he sent me a 30 min video about the game. I think it was supposed to be funny. I only watched a couple mins and then stopped watching. He just now texted me, and asked if I watched it. I said no, and he was just like "oh." I know him well and I know he's let down that i didn't watch it. I just would rather spend my time doing something else for 30 mins.

Eh I wouldn't feel too bad about it man. 30 minutes is a long time to watch something if you're not super into it. Your friend can't expect you to watch a whole video just cuz he sent it.

Unless it was like the weekend or you were chilling with nothing else to do, I get why you didn't want to devote half an hour. No harm in checking it out for a bit to humor him, but you don't have to watch the whole thing if it's not doing it for you.

Maybe hit him up to play the actual game together sometime instead of just watching videos about it? That way you're both engaged instead of one of you watching alone. I'm sure he'll get over the video thing, he was probably just excited to share it.

Don't sweat it too much, just see if you actually want to try the game when you have time. No need to force yourself to watch something boring just to please someone else. Tell him you'll try the game if he sets it up, that should cheer him up!
