If a ghost of someone that was murdered contacted you with a message for a loved one, would you tell that person the message?

I ask because I heard an EVP of a someone that was murdered and it was a message to their mother. I had difficulty deciding if I should relay the message because they have taken the death so hard. I wasn’t sure if it would cause more grief to hear the message or if it would help in the healing process.

In case you’re wondering in the EVP I asked the person if they had a message for their mother or partner and the reply was “can you tell them ‘I love you’?”
I did end up calling the mother who don’t know and relaying the message. She has been particularly hard hit by his death even more so since the person that did it wasn’t charged. When I told her the message she cried and we talked for about an hour. In the end she was glad I told her since I think she was contemplating ending her life.

That’s a considerably unlikely hypothetical question. We all know this wouldn’t happen in real life but supposing it did, the first thing I would do is set about ruling out all the more likely explanations. So I would check all the sources I had read lately to see if I had seen the report of this death and may be having a false memory. I would make sure I wasn’t on any medication which would mess with my mind and seek counselling to get suggestions from another person.

supposing I exhausted all other options and the only rational conclusion was that ghosts exist and can send messages from “the beyond”, I would first seriously reevaluate my understanding of reality. After that, I would relay the message and just hope (pray? I mean if we’re accepting ghosts why stop there?) that the person doesn’t have me committed to a psychiatric institution.

As crazy as it sounds this is all true. I’m not on drugs, I don’t drink, and I’m very rational. I work at a store and their was a person that was murdered on the exact spot where I did the EVP. It happened just over a year ago. I’ve met the mother once and she was grief stricken. I also do ghost hunting as a hobby and have seen on more than one occasion seen things that defy explanation. But what I’ve asked in this and the story that recounted is all true.

That’s right I did. That doesn’t make it any less factual. I never met the victim before and I only met the mother once in passing.

But what is more likely? A:That you had a false memory of the EVP or imagined you heard something influenced by what you knew which is something known to occur.

Or B: A spooky ghost.

Seriously consider what the most likely option out of those two is.

A false memory? Right. I had a false memory that just happened to to be recorded at the time I was awake and was at work.
I didn’t say it was spooky. I just said I recorded something. I simply asked a question and didn’t know what type of response I’d get if any. If you want to listen to it you’re more than welcome to.

You’re listening to me at first. The best in the background is music from a bar. The words spoken are “can…you.. tell… them… ‘I… love you’” the first word is very distinct as well as the last two being that they are said with more feeling. The reason that the volume changes is because I raised the volume of the audio clip to make it easier to hear and I haven’t added anything to the clip.

But what were you recording? As in what were you using the iPhone to record? Where was the sound coming from?

I don’t know exactly what you’re talking about EVP I don’t even know what that means. but how do you know you weren’t dreaming? if you’re certain that it’s for real 100% and if you were sober then you should tell them but like I said, how do you know it wasn’t a dream?

Well an EVP is an electronic voice phenomenon. Audio recording device are more sensitive than human ears and pick up things we can’t hear. When the volume is raised you can hear the voices of ghost that want to talk to you. how do I know I wasn’t dreaming? Well I was at work at the time and sleeping on the job isn’t an option. Finally, I don’t drink, nor have I ever been drunk. as far as EVPs are concerned I recommend that you try it yourself. Find a place that is very old, like an historic building. Find a quiet place. Turn on your phones voice recording feature and ask a few question. Then just listen to what you’ve recorded.
