My relative has booked tickets to visit but my partner is going ahead with a kidney donation surgery and I can’t see her what should I do?

kidney donation surgery is a pretty big deal. i think you need to tell your relative the situation asap. maybe go to dinner with them once while they're good and recovering, but other than that you'll have to attend to your partner

I’d rather not meet up with her she can be pretty rude and she has other family she can see on her side

It is a weird family dynamic but nobody likes her that much in our family and my last trip with her was pretty awful because of the she behaves
