My college roommate was engaged to somebody. When they broke up I stayed friends with her. She lived not too far away from me and we used to hang out a lot. For a while she was really my best friend. We went to a few concerts and sporting events. Sometimes we would just j=hang out on her parents back porch and watch a baseball game. I had a steady girlfriend that lived halfway across the country. I used to wonder if maybe I should be going with her. We always had so much fun together. One night she told me that she had feelings for me. I was surprised and a little freaked out. By the time I decided that maybe we should be more than friends i think she sort of changed her mind. Then she went to grad school in DC and never heard from her again.

No, I didn't but my then best friend had. I couldn't figure out if she was just being friendly and nice or was actually interested in me. Once we were hanging out and was breathing heavily. I asked her if she was alright and she looked away for a moment. She then turned back, held my hand and asked me if we could be in a relationship with each other.

I had a girlfriend then, plus I wasn't interested in her that way (although I adored her), so I couldn't tell her a yes. She even insisted that I could keep my relationship with her as a secret from my girlfriend but I didn't want to be a cheater so I refused.

I used to when I younger. Now I befriend just unavailable women. I might find them attractive, but since they aren't available I get disinterested real quick.

Though that nice guy shit starts to wear thin the older I get. One day I worry I'll be an asshole and steal one of em away from their relationship.

So far I tend to lose interest knowing they're already taken. Just every now and then intrusive thoughts of being a jerk that causes chaos enters my head😬😅

Yeah. But both of them had boyfriends, neither knew I liked them. It was probably for the best they didn't know how I felt. I'm just hoping they're enjoying life and are happy. That's all I want for them even though I won't see them again.

Yeah I had feelings for my guy best friend for a good year. We're basically siblings at this point so I'm glad that didn't go anywhere. I told him about all of this a while back and now it's become a running joke in the friend group lmao
