My family want me to visit but they live in a very rural part of America and it makes me feel awkward to rely on them for transport what should I do?

I don’t drive as I live in a busy European city and never bothered to get a driving license as I don’t need one

i was gonna say uber, but that's rare in rural parts. you may just have to suck it up and ask them, not much else you can do
