Is it bad to not see extended family multiple times while they're visiting from out of state?

Two of my relatives are staying with my parents this week, and I have plans to get together with them tomorrow afternoon. However, my parents just texted me and want us all to get together today too. I feel kind of bad. I don't see them often (maybe once every couple years if that). My Dad is probably going to be disappointed if I skip today.

Is it bad?

It's your life. If it's not important to you, then don't do it. Your parents may have a strong relationship with them, but you evidently do not. I have many cousins that I rarely see. One was in town after an Alaskan cruise and we had dinner together. That was enough.
