I have an incredibly un-exciting weekend ahead.

Hockey is kind of in “off-season” for a couple weeks, so no action there, and I injured my wrist, so I shouldn’t play anyway.

Fishing is in a weird limbo period too. I COULD fish, but the prospect of two fish in six hours doesn’t excite me much when it’s going to be on fire in a couple more weeks. The ponds haven’t really “come alive” yet with vegetation and tadpoles and schools of minnows, so it’s nice to stand outside but it’s not productive fishing. So I think that’s out too.

I’ll probably still try to work out with the bad wrist, and just look like a weirdo and use the Velcro ankle straps around my forearms so I can still lift, because No Days Off😝

I think my best play with not much else going on is to do some stuff I don’t want to do, but free myself up for other weekends in the near future.

So, I have a couple projects around the property to do. I need to clean and organize my garage a bit, and vacuum up the spiderwebs, and all the dead spiders and bugs, so the new ones can start moving in, lmao. I also have landscaped embankments, and there are a lot of tiger lilies. They leave behind what’s basically dead grass, and this is probably the best time to get it raked up before the new shoots take over and make it hard to get at. Probably could stand to throw some more mulch down too, but maybe I’m getting overly ambitious, haha.

But yeah…. if you’re still awake, that’s the thrill-ride I’m in for. You pay for the whole seat…. BUT YOU ONLY NEED THE EDGE

I went grocery shopping together with my wife and took her to a steak restaurant. Then we did some things after which might inspire a few poets here and there. 😁

It's not the most exciting thing in terms of what we technically did but I'm kind of working up to it. I've become a very comfortable homebody over the pandemic years so just going out to eat together at a steakhouse with my wife is a relatively big thing.
