I am sure they're specifically against attractive guys.
How can they force a girl to marry someone she is not attracted to just because he has money?
I am Kshatriya (Warrior) of Maratha caste and my parents want me to marry the girl of Kshatriya (Warrior) of Maratha caste. in india it's impossible for a boy to marry a girl of different caste and different religion and for a girl to marry a boy of different caste and different religion. you are in the same situation as mine tell me more about your caste and religion so that I can help you and give answers to your questions.
First rule about parenting: No guy is ever good enough for your daughter.
Daughters need to know and accept that... and then do what they want anyway.

My mom saw my first girlfriend and told me she looked stupid. I dumped her because I was 14 and believed her. When I was 16, I told my mom I was seeing someone and she told me she didn't care about loose women. Some parents are just toxic horrible humans
Sounds like the kind of parents who would sell their teen daughter to an elder, it primitive.
It just reflects the culture we are in. It's not that the denial is coz of how attractive the guy is. They just don't tend to trust the choice of their children.
It's difficult for them to accept that change since they weren't given the choice when it was their time or because of the society around them.
Hence , the term generation gap exists coz there are differences in the ideologies and beliefs.
When the parents have this attitude than the kids shouldn't listen to them anymore, i mean in the end it's your life, not theirs!
Choose the one whom you trust and love!
I get very viscerally upset at arranged marriages. It's so wrong. I know the social pressures are enormous but can you live with yourself and escape?
Because that's the Indian way, at least they didn't promise you to some guy for an arranged marriage when you were a baby.
They want the best for their little girl.
But you've got to live your own life.
Was he White?😂
