It’s unacceptable and gross in some cultures and more societally acceptable in others. Mafia tough guys would sometimes kiss each on the cheeks and the same time kill you for looking at you the wrong way.
Anyway it’s not something to lose sleep over. Weird yes but don’t assume that is “indicative” of something far worse. This is a far far reach what you are implying there.
That always seemed kind of weird to me. I wouldn't want to teach my kids that that's something that people should do unless they are lovers.
Closed mouth is fine. Every family culture is different. My parents used to kiss us on the mouth I don’t with my children. I kiss mine on the cheek or head or tummy or hand or foot..,,
Cringe. Kids have cheeks and foreheads for a reason. Its so weird to kiss anyone on the lips other than a significant other

Seems a bit weird honestly.
My mother and my aunt used to do something similar which I kinda find cringeworthy today, they would rub their cheeks against those of us children.
It's a normal thing.. like if the kid doesn't want to they shouldn't be forced but it isn't a sexual thing, plus the kid has half the parents DNA lol. My parents used to kiss me until I told them I don't like it when I was like 7, so they just would kiss me on the cheek, it isn't a big deal they just love you 😂
Ew I just unlocked a memory. When my parents separated, my dad would make me kiss him on the lips. I was 17 🤢🤮
I really don't want to be that parent. As a toddler my parents never did that to me so I find it a bit weird.
i only saw that once and i felt it was incest. or a parent cheating on their spouse. if i can't kiss on lips, neither can spouses!
I find it strange but it doesn't make me think of them differently in aspect of being a good/bad parent. Some people were just raised that way so they continue that way. If they didn't grow up with it though I'd probably raise a brow.
I think it’s odd, but it’s not harmful or anything assuming the parents aren’t giving their children illnesses
It is thought that kissing as a whole started out as parents passing chewed up food into their baby's mouth.
You're welcome for that mental image 😂🤢.
I am okay with it... it is just kiss... and it is not going to be deep toung lip kiss..
I think its fine until a certain age. My 9 year old will still kiss me on the lips but my 11 year old will not. I would never force him to.
I have no issues with it at all. Now I am not going to kiss anyone’s kids but mine I have no issues with.
It's so strange.. I think it depends on age. More acceptable the younger they are
My mom used to kiss my mouth 👄 when I was little
I mean it could be a cultural thing kissing each other on the lips is a common way to great other people in some countries.
I voted "fine," but I assume you are talking about little children and not teens.
The over-sexualization of society.
It's fine, even a standard in some cultures.
Why would mothers kiss their children on the lips?
Instead kiss "me", no no, I mean your spouse not me.
Always thought that was weird and creepy
I find it a little weird because my family never did this but I don't think it's a big deal
not hygienic not a fan of iy
Trying to stop my son kissing my lips. He's 5.
I think it's weird
