I learned that my uncle was actually my cousin.
My aunt had a baby at a young age. I think she was a teenager.
And back in the day, having a kid that young was a big no no. So my grandma pretended the child was hers.
So he grew up thinking that his mother was his sister. And he didn’t even know until he was an adult.
So to this day, he’s considered my “uncle” even though we all know the truth and there’s really no point in pretending anymore. I guess we’ve all just been calling him a certain title for our whole lives so there’s no point changing it
