Why does my dad need to tell me how much he bought something for?

Maybe he's trying to make you feel guilty about it? Or he doesn't think you appreciate it enough? I really don't know. I can't think of any other reason though.

I have thought of another possibility.. Maybe he's trying to tell how much he is enjoying spending your inheritance! Nah,, I'm just clutching at straws here..

He's insecure, either about his ego, or about being taken advantage of financially.
