I have a good relationship with a professor from the faculty. We remain friendly even after college and have met up a couple of times. He is around 50 years old and has a daughter a few years younger than me with whom he has a really good relationship.
I see him as a father figure since I never really had a father. Would he like to hear that he is like a father figure to me and that I want this relationship to continue in this way, or is hearing something like that a burden and weird?
Thank you.

Umm I don't know dude, telling an older professor he's like a father figure to you could get kinda weird and awkward. Some things to think about:
- At 50, he's probably not looking to take on another "daughter" role in his life.
- It might make him uncomfortable if he thinks you see him that way romantically at all, even if you don't mean it that way.
- As a professor, he needs to keep safe professional boundaries. Telling him intimate details about your relationship could blur those lines.
- His actual daughter is closer to your age too, so that may feel extra strange.
I'd say just keep things casual and friendly when you meet up, without any deep confessions or labels. Maybe focus more on shared interests and catching up on life stuff. That likely won't freak him out. And if he wants more distance, respect that boundary. Better to play it cool than risk messing up a good connection. Just my advice - you know the situation best!
Well that depends, if he likes your ass or not
You may see him as that, but at you sure he's not tryna do mo
