My situation-ship asked me last night if I want kids in the future. I told him I did and asked him the same. He said he wants kids in the future and that he thinks he’ll be a good dad. How do I respond to this without scaring him away? Is he thinking of a future with me?

If he was, it wouldn't be a 'situationship', it would be a committed serious relationship with a clear movement towards having a family. And women still don't understand that anytime they settle for less, their chances of being taken seriously diminish. Situationship, friends with benefits, one night stands, casual sex... as some of the examples.
