Actually funny story , My Mom and Aunt our twins My Aunt , met my Dad first , My Dad use to do illegal street racing and apparently he won every time , so he was pretty popular in his town , after his one race he saw my Aunt and asked her if she would like to go out with him , So My Aunt went with him and. Apparently they had a good time together getting to know each other , he claims they did nothing sexually , my Aunt was pretty wild so , I don’t believe that to much lol. but my Aunt was already dating someone else at the time. So she didn’t want to hurt my Dad’s feelings , when he asked her out again , she said yes , she immediately told my Mom she met a great guy and wants her to date him instead , so My Mom pretended to be My Aunt when my Dad came to pick her up , and took my Mom on date , My mom had a great time with him and when they were about to kiss my Mom said Wait , I have to tell you something , My Dad said I know you aren’t your sister , I knew the second you got in the car but I like you better anyways , and they made out.

Did they become lovers when your mother was 14 years old and your father was 21 years old?

They grew up across the alley from each other in the 1920s.
Dad was 3 years younger than Mom.
Dad knew how to rock the piano.
    Mom loved to jitterbug.

Here I am to tell the story.

I thought that I just did.

      That was the story.

I wasn't there to have seen the details, of course.

Elaboration might be possible, but I'm not up to writing a novel at the moment.
      I'm sorry.

Was it a storybook, fairy tale romance?
Certain photos of them together back in the 1940s would seem to indicate that was the case.

Over the years, mostly at funerals, I've met people who knew my parents as youngsters, especially women who apparently were "fond" of my dad, and apparently also admiring of my mom's physical beauty and amateur dance skills.
The story of my parents has been somewhat fleshed out by those people to a slightly higher degree for me, but again, I wasn't there as a witness.

I hear from many people that if there was a piano in a room, my dad would be at it, performing many styles of beautiful music.
Although we didn't have a piano at our home when I was a kid, I did get to hear him play on numerous occasions when we were at parties where a piano was available.
The first time I heard him play, in a little kid's manner of thinking, I said to myself something like this, "Holy crap, my dad can play the frickin' piano!"
Why that came as a shock to me actually now seems somewhat strange, as the next paragraph would seem to suggest.

Dad did have an accordion, now in my possession, which he often played at home, beautifully so.
He didn't play the stereotypical schmaltz that many people think is typical of most accordion players.
He played beautiful waltzes, many dramatic classical compositions, boogie woogie, improv jazz, all kinds of lovely music.

      I also possess my dad's dad's accordion, 100% hand-made, from circa 1910 or so.
Grandpa was a professional teacher of music, also playing gigs around town on piano and accordion.
I was lucky enough to see a few of his performances before he passed in 1972.

Mom would surprise the heck out of me when, after she was widowed, middle-aged and I was still a kid, when we'd be at wedding parties, she'd get out on the dance floor and "go to town".

I have the vaguest memories of my dad and mom slow dancing together at two different weddings when I was quite young.
      Nothing out of the ordinary.
      Just two people dancing together.

I have wondered why some of these funeral-attending women from my dad's past whom I've met, seem to be particularly fond of me when I meet them.
That riddle was solved when I was recently told by a beloved niece of mine, who also happens to be the granddaughter of one of these other ladies, that her grandmother was "fond" of my dad back in the day, and that I happen to look very much like my dad.
They "liked" my dad, so they "like" me, if you know what I mean.
      Flattering or creepy?
I'll let the reader decide for themselves.

Dad passed away at 42 back in 1970.
I was 11 years old at the time.
Mom passed last year at 98.

Me saying, "Here I am to tell the story", was to simply indicate that, you know, ...
      The birds and the bees.
That kind of stuff obviously occurred.
I have a brother and three sisters, too, so...

Maybe I have succeeded in telling at least some of the story, ...

Thanks for putting forth the question, and also for asking to hear more about it.
At first, I thought that I had:

"They grew up across the alley from each other in the 1920s.
Dad was 3 years younger than Mom.
Dad knew how to rock the piano.
      Mom loved to jitterbug.

Here I am to tell the story."

      OK, now I'm emotional.

      Cheers to you.

Thank you for the answer. It was a nice dating story. I am sorry that your mother was widowed at an early age. May your mother and father have plenty of land.

They met at a local fair. All those bumper carts were taken and my dad had a seat available and asked my mom to get in and she did.
