I yelled at a guy I saw litter. Was it over the top?

I was driving down the highway, and saw a guy drinking a soda, and when he was done, he tossed it on the side of the road. I yelled "pick that up!". He just gave me an angry look as I drove away. I came back a few mins later, and picked it up. Was yelling at him over the top?

honestly, be careful. these days, someone could totally pull out a gun on you for even saying that. especially on the highway. stay away from people like that, drive safe, don't make direct eye contact. and just keep your thoughts to yourself. you knew he wasn't going to pick it up (you guys are driving on the highway...) so just move on

No not at all. I never understood why some people can be so nasty and messy. I would be upset as well.
