How to find friends to go out drinking with?

Do you have any suggestions to have new friends to go out drinking etc?

I hear you on this one!!!

I go bars by myself. I have fun and I talk to people. But not to the extent I've made friends and can organise going out with them again.

I'm also a member of meet-up (which people on here are suggesting). It means you can go places and not be alone. I haven't met anyone regular enough yet to make friends. I try to be confident and outgoing. And I can be. But it can also feel really awkward.

Weirdly... the other week I went to a speed date event and had a great time with the women rather than the men. The good thing was.. it was a age bracket event, so all the women were around my age AND single AND there alone. So we all in same boat and that made it really easy to reach out (anyone alone is happy when someone else reaches out). And we had such a good laugh.

If you did that then during the break you could approach the other single guys for a chat. I bet if you said you wd love to go bars more but haven't got single guy mates to go with I can guarantee at least half if not all would say they up for going out.

It's easier for men to go out alone. But that doesn't make it nicer.

Do you live in a city? Suburbs? Rural area? I’d try Facebook groups in which you share a common interest. The gym is a good spot too.

If you're extroverted join a local sports team, club or hangout. Lookup martial art clubs, attend rally racing meetups, or hangout at a skatepark.

If you're super introverted download meetup and join a random event with strangers. Alternatively browse local Facebook groups, craigslist, Instagram, or discord groups. You're looking for groups that are local and hobby based i. e. home brew or hiking

I've done both, but I recommend the extroverted route if you want drinking buddies

The best drinking friends are likely those who you would meet in the bar , slippery slope to alcoholism though …. personally I would think about healthier pursuits

if you live in a major city in most countries there is an app called meetup. It is good for meeting people.
