My family is threatening to disown me. What should I do?

They said this out of the blue and I did nothing bad in my life. I try to make the best choices and I’m such a nice person and it’s making me super depressed. What should I do about this?

I imagine the conversation went something like this then:-

Your Family - we are thinking of disowning you

YOU - I know, I'll go ask complete strangers what to do about it!

My first thing would have been to say.. what? Where did that come from? What am I supposed to have done to warrant that?

I'm disowned from birth because of my b**** grandmother not marrying who her father wanted her to and marrying my grandfather. I have been beaten sliced open with knives strangled and treated like complete crap my entire life by my father's side. F your " family" if they were your family they would accept you no matter what. That's something I had to learn the hard way. F them go your own way and make the best out if your life. Move far away and start over I am. You're better off without them. Wenatchee Washington is where I'm moving to. Way better than Kansas city.

Cut they ass loose, they never gave a damn about you.

My own mother replaced me with some army vet and started calling him her "son". After 23 years of being her adopted son, meant nothing to her.

I meant nothing to that woman but a paycheck... and when those ended, she resented me like a motherfucker. That woman hated me.
