Why do I keep dreaming about them/him?

I haven’t seen my step brother or step family in a couple years… I had a falling out with them except my step brother. My dad told me that he’s separated from his wife whom I considered a real sister just to find out she was fake towards me.

But lately they’ve been popping up in my dreams but mostly my step brother and a lot. I don’t think about any of them and I’m at peace when I don’t
