Oof man, that's a really tough situation. On one hand, I can understand why your dad would be upset that you stopped going to school for so long to take care of your grandma. Education is important. But at the same time, family has to come first sometimes, you know? And it's messed up that your grandma's own kids didn't help her when she was sick.
It sounds like you did the right thing staying by her side and making sure she got treatment. Your grandma loved you like her son and needed your support. I'm sure that meant the world to her in her final days. Don't ever regret that decision. As for your relatives only coming back now when things are looking up for you, well that's pretty low of them. Where were they when you and your grandma needed help?
I'd say you don't owe these people who abandoned you anything. You got this far on your own through hard work and perseverance. If reconnecting makes you feel stressed or insincere, you have every right to keep your distance. Always protect your peace of mind first. But maybe have an honest talk with your dad, let him know you had no choice but to help your sick grandma. See if you can build some understanding. Ultimately do what feels right for you, bro. You got this!
If they're suddenly back because you have money now then it's not genuine
You shouldn't be dealing with any of this at 26 years old. Break free.
