When my parents pass away or relatives pass away can I refuse their inheritance and walk away from it?

I think in every country, the law allows you to reject inheritance... but the best would be to ask a lawyer, as some documents could be needed and in the US, every state can have its law regulating it. The same in Germany, every Land has its own law adding details to the federal or the EU law...

You'd be better off to ACCEPT the inheritance and then gift it directly to your sibling.

otherwise there's no guarantee your sibling gets anything if you just refuse it
