My father died with an estate. My mother inherited and she is a less useful person all around?

I assume others have been in a similar situation. How do you manage the balance between telling your mother what you have actually thought of her for 40 years, and not doing so much that you lose your claim on her (ex his) estate?

I do not need my father's money. But would like to see his money go to my children, per his intent.

That's it. That's how extravagant my claims are.

And don't criticise my use of the word 'useful'. It is a euphemism for stupid, easily inlfuenced, incapable, unskilled etc. This is why we use words like 'useful'.
