My friend's b-day is right on the 24th. I really wronged her once by getting involved with a bad crowd on our last year of HS and hurt her feelings, betrayed her trust.
I tried asking for a second chance (I missed our friendship) but she didn't speak to me for nearly 2 years. She recently contacted me these past week, I apologized again and we're patching things up. I really meant it all. I would never betray her again in any manner.
So I can't keep apologizing repeatedly (I feel like it again but she's going to get annoyed by then) and now I have to follow through with actions. What would be a good birthday present for her? To show her I really value our friendship, that I'm grateful to have her back in my life.

Ah man, that's such a tough situation. I can totally see why she was upset with you for so long. Betraying a friend's trust like that really stings. The best thing you can do now is just be there for her 100% with no excuses or flakiness. As for a present, here are some ideas that might show how much you value having her friendship again:
- A thoughtful card apologizing again but also talking about how much her friendship means to you. Pour your heart into it.
- A care package of her favorite snacks, books, movies - stuff to enjoy during some quality gal pal time with you.
- Tickets to see a band or show you know she'd love. The experience of spending time together means more than any material gift.
- A scrapbook or photo book filled with pics of happy memories from before things went sideways. Caption them to make her smile.
- A friendship bracelet or necklace you make yourself. The personalized touch shows effort.
Most of all, just make sure she knows how committed you are to being a true friend from here on out. Words only mean so much - back it up with loyal actions every day. I'm sure she'll come around fully with time if you keep showing her. Good luck, girl!
