How do I ask a friend to stop sending me so many random photos everyday?

I have a friend who tends to send me 1-10 random photos she takes a day (like some are so blurry I can’t even tell what the photo is of and others are of just the ground or ceiling) and I find it really annoying. I’ve tried just ignoring the messages or leaving her on delivered but that doesn’t stop her. I don’t want to block her because she’s a good friend, but I am getting very annoyed with her over this. How do I nicely ask her to stop sending me so many random photos?

is this on snapchat? that's the only logical reasoning i can see why people would send picture of the ground or ceiling. so weird... maybe change the subject? or you could just go the direct approach and say that you don't like receiving a lot of random pictures and would rather just text message

does she know she's even sending these random blurry pictures? is her phone just being weird?

She knows she sends them. I know because I’ve watched her send them to other people

Have you asked her why she sends the photos? I imagine she does it because she sees something and thinks of you, it’s likely a display of affection. Is that part of why it bothers you?

It’s not of anything though. It’s like a blurry photo of her moving around or just completely blank. The part that bothers me is that it’s so frequent and
I don’t really want to be bombarded by her messages all day everyday when I’ve seen her practically every weekend for the past six weeks.

Or even just ask her to ease off on the amount of pictures

If she really is close it shouldn't be that much of an issue, I feel you're worried about being mean. And if she can't handle that being told to her then. You got no hope

Or you could always just mute her messages so you don't get notified
