Private life and family won't move on?

My mate and I are getting married in October and I told him not to include my family due to how toxic and dysfunctional they are.. I don't think his family will be included either because we're keeping it private... we simply don't want to deal with the drama of my family and they've been creating unnecessary drama and stress that has been affecting my mental and emotional well being - I couldn't deal with my family showing up at our home unnannounced which they want to get involved in our lives and we don't want them! They don't understand how to move on !

Then your doing a good thing! Family can ruin your happy moment! Really family has your whole life he just has that time with you to be married!

My family made my life a living hell with their abuse and toxicity they robbed my childhood and serve nothing to my life
