How often do you have to find a new group of friends?

I'd say about every 5 years I have to find new people to hang out with. Is this a normal thing? I don't have many friends because I'm not one that goes out and parties and goes out to the bar etc.

I cut people off really fast once I smell fake on them. Literally.

Which is good, because the people I have cut off are the one getting drunk, high, bar hopping, clubbing, etc. I am not about that life. Tbh, I think we do that stuff in uni to fit in. I have never been one to fit in like that. I tried once, and I got hurt bad. Plus, I am Christian, so imagine how much more damage that did…

Idk…my age group is on the wild side of town, rn. Even the Christian one’s are trying to fit in by getting drunk and high. Trust me, I would know.

My only friend as of right now is 28. She and I met in a class. We clicked really well. She has a mature mindset, but also knows how to have fun without doing something crazy. Which I dig.

Yeah, I've never been one to follow the crowd for the sake of fitting in. Blaze your trail, but I guess this leaves me a bit lonely though since not many people are going to follow.

Well, I am not going to lie and say that one wouldn’t feel lonely. It is better to be alone than with the wrong crowd. I just end up doing things I love. Like going for a run, gaming, watching my shows, painting, going out on my own etc.

On occasions, my only friend and I go out.

So, I guess just let the right friend come to you. Dw, hun. It will happen. 💜

Be your own best friend first and foremost, and yes it's normal to have new friends or change because people change. And it's also normal to not like going out on parties and stuff, I am the same. I prefer to stay home and sometimes visit a cozy bar to relax. Loud music and loud people irritate me so it's totally normal.
