Do you like big families or small families, or family with no kids?

I have one sibling, a sister who is three years younger. I liked it because here wasn't sibling rivalry. We got along real well. There wasn't any chaos. We both got equal attention from our parents and grandparents. Our family of four could easily fit in a car. It wasn't stressful on our parents to take the family places.

When I met my future wife, I discovered that she had 10 siblings. She has told me stories about when she was growing up. Eating meals together sounds like it was chaos. Everyone had to pile into their station wagon when they went anywhere. It must have been like herding cats. Some of the siblings got along with certain ones better than others. Some demanded more attention than others.

When I first met the entire family, there were her siblings, their partners and their kids. Everyone was really nice, but it was pandemonium. As I've gotten to know them I found that they all have different personalities. I like some of them a lot, some are okay, and one brother is an idiot.

As for myself, I never had any interest in having kids. I didn't want to be tied down with the responsibility. I don't even think kids are that cute. So for me, it wasn't a question of having a large or small family.
My wife and I have talked it over and we are happy that we don't have any kids.

I like a big family. Honestly my wife and I disagreed because, well, I can't just make kids on my own, and she figured four was enough. I was like hear me out, so there are farms you see, and you could have up to 10 if they're all back to back.

For some reason she wasn't on board with it. I like making babies, it just doesn't make sense to me lol

I came from a family of 4. With 6. We all get along really well… now the four of us sibling have created 8 kids… 9 on the way… so told like 18-19 when we get together!! It’s so amazing got have them all over my house this past weekend!
out little 2 1/2 yr old nephew was held by my brother… they were joking/laughing so hard when he was blowing the candles 🎂 from the cake he drooled and we were like no way we are going to eat that cake now… we had so much fun.
my ex hubby is an only child and now he has to care for his elderly parents and our teen kids… kids said they like being in our big family with their cousins. They are around the same age… they talk/play about school, career, sports!!!
so big family all the way.
now don’t get me wrong … our mom always tried to instigate 😂 but she is not having much success trying to bring negativity between us four siblings.

I'm the youngest of 7 and have 5 kids of my own so I've always preferred having a big family

Growing up was just my sister and me, the two of us. My sister had 3 daughters and I had 2 sons and a daughter. I guess that means I prefer a small family of 2 or 3 children, enough to continue the family lineage without creating undue burden on society.

I'd have loved to have more kids but we had major health issues and I was 46 before our son was born. Now I'm 52 and missing a leg I'm under no illusion of being able to cope if we had another.
