My sister said she would punch me if she has to pay for my glasses?

• I recently got a prescription for glasses and we were trying to find a place to go to pick up the prescription that accepts my health insurance because she does not want to buy it with her money she wants to get them with the insurance (I have very little money and what I have I'm trying to save to move out). We called 4 places one was too busy and the other 3 said no they don't. She said "if I have to pay for your glasses I will punch you in the mouth." I don't know if she was being serious or not. It upset me but I dare not cry in front of her. I think it was rude to say.

Does she joke around with you like that? As I was reading this , I thought I could see me saying something like that. But it would definitely be a joke. Sounds like you really can't be you when you're around her though if you're afraid to cry in front of her. I'd say it's rude if she meant it. I feel like I need more context.
