Is this okay to do for my family?

My parents are rich and I’m not. They’ve been helping me to afford diet meals, so I can stay healthy and lose weight. I feel like it would be a good thing if I could save up $1,000 and give each of my parents $500 each to spend how they choose, after Christmas. So as not to make them feel like their gifts are cheapened.

If your parents are rich but you are not, I wouldn’t bother.. $500 isn’t much to rich people. I’d be buying or making them a meaningful gift and keeping the money saved for necessities for yourself as you’re not “rich”.
