Am I right or wrong in this family matter situation?

My older sister has our grandma picking up her kids from school and takes care of them after school while feeding them. She is on the older scale approaching 80.

I told everyone that I felt she was too old to be taking care of the kids because she has muscle weakness and memory problems. To make things worse, she works on the weekends only because she has to pick the kids up during the week…

I feel like she’s being taken advantage of and I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing this to my grandma if these were my kids… am I missing something? Am I right?

You are right completly.

She has muscle and memory problems thus could forget road rules and be a high risk driver putting her grand kids at risk.

Now grandparents are great I'm not saying this is a bad thing and the kids will be OK if she forgets to feed them ext but it still puts them at risk.

There had been a healthy cultural time when this was just a normal situation.

The elders ARE an integrated part of family and society. What would you like to do with them: push them into uselessness?

Grandparents have a special bond with Grand kids. They get to fix all the things they did wrong with you. Plus, they a remarkable influence upon the children and can often be the balancing element to a disturbing culture and those messages.-This is my case and in fact so much that disappointing Grandma, the one who gives you free and continuous love, can outweigh parent expectation.
I would suggest thst you let your Mom live out those remaining years peacefully and invest her remaining time into what has Value to her. And that you avoid unintentionally stressing her out with your opinion. I’m not trying to be Nasty…I hope that is clear
