Do you have a supportive family?

I always had a very loving, open-minded and supportive family, I had their back no matter what, I am very lucky to have such understanding parents and a brother.

These days, I was dealing with some family matters. My father and mother almost separated. The reason is irrelevant. Most meaningful was that we solved what seemed to be unsolvable problem.

My father was upset and talked with my brother, my brother called me not knowing what to do, we tried to put our thoughts aside and do strictly what we thought would be better for both of our parents, we discussed every detail, like you discuss about children, regardless of who’s wrong or right, you love them both and both are equally important for you, in the end I called my mom and as a result, my mom talked with my dad, they cried of happiness after they finally talked.

I felt like by being objective, non-judgmental, understanding and forgiving - my brother and I, found a perfect solution to the situation that would otherwise hurt everyone, especially our parents.

I always thought we had a bit dysfunctional family, and maybe we do, but this situation showed that regardless of everything,

all of us deeply care and understand each other and that it’s possible to find a solution in situations where lots of families would split, start hating one another or choose sides.
