Like you have a full time job and you provide your child with everything they need from child care, clothes, shoes, food, a home etc but certain things you understand you just can’t afford with just your money alone as a single mom and so your parents assist you. Is that irresponsible? Like birthday parties, trips etc

No. I know that I’m a good mum because I’m providing the best opportunities for my kid. It doesn’t matter whether I provided those opportunities through my own financial means or through getting support and help from other people. My child isn’t going to remember “oh my mum had to get help with doing this for me”, they’re going to remember that they enjoyed it and that their mum gave them a great time. Even better if it was family who helped to provide them with the experience, I think that would make my child feel even more loved by those around them.
