because we do understand when we've been on both sides before

people without kids have never been on the side with kids while people with kids have been on the side without kids before

the difference in mindset, personality, purpose and leadership qualities is so much different when you have someone you are obligated to take care of

if someone don't want kids/doesn't have kids, that's fine. they should be prepared for some unintended consequences such as getting overlooked for a job promotion

why would anyone without kids be overlooked for a job promotion?

because having kids is a huge responsibility which you can't just quit and leadership in general comes with more responsibilities. having kids very much insists on you to do better in life

yes but not in the same way people with kids do. there's a mandatory duty that parents have to their kids that non-parents don't have. slacking off in a job and not caring about getting fired doesn't cut it anymore when you have mouths to feed

people without kids can have pets and have to feed themselves, maybe even a partner?

no one is obligated to feed a partner even though it's a nice gesture

pets do tend to rely on their owners at first but they can feed themselves if the owner fails to do so

feeding oneself is a given but not something people would prioritize over feeding their own kids

okay, well if they can't afford food for everyone then they shouldn't have had any kids?

I most certainly don't find it hard in the slightest... After all it's everyone's prerogative what they choose to do in life... Live and Let Live.

Because for a lot of people, they see having children as a necessary part of living and can’t understand how it’s a choice.

Coz if they think otherwise, they wouldn't have one. Also some people are addicted to responsibilities.

Children are happiness. Having children is why you come to life. When you are old have you ever thought about who will be the one who will take care of you?
