Trending & News I believe I could given I can keep my skills alive (continue to study, as I will work in science, so you need to keep up), follow an active lifestyle that includes my passions (sports/hobbies), have a sufficient social life and, finally, could somehow maintain the option to rely on myself financially if I needed to. The latter really depends on what job you did I recon. Because honestly, one of the worst things that can happen relationship wise when you have kids is to financially depend on somebody so much that "can't" leave if they treat you badly or the relationship turns unhealthy.
If all of that is given however, and the decision was made consciously between my partner and I, I do see myself leading a fulfilled life this way. I romanticize it a bit tbh, but what I romanticize even more is working full-time and building a career for a little and then working part-time once I have kids. That's what my mom did, she's a powerhouse and still climbs cliffs and mountains at 55 whilst working 2 jobs, as she had to divorce my dad and still wants to afford traveling the world. She taught and showed us by example how much you can get done if you really want to.
I really like earning money and contributing financially to a family. Plus, I think it's boring to only stay home ALL the time. Getting out and being with other adults is important. I mean in the workplace. You learn a lot also. Most people working are working parents. You get a lot of information.
If I'd be staying home for a s hort time, like one to two years, that'd be OK. But not until my kids are 18. Those are great earning years. I'd hate to miss them. You might be able to continue with school for a higher degree. Maybe then.
I think it puts you at a disadvantage in your relationship when you don't work. You'd have to work out an agreement about your worth as a stay at home parent. Because, frankly, staying at home is financially valuable to the family. but, I'd want a salary, so to speak. Tricky.
I'd think through how it should work out.
I would love to stay home with the kids, clean and cook, it sounds like fun, Id go a bit stir crazy but as long as I have the kids to look after id love it.
I would do it, if I had a lot of money behind me. Otherwise no, because what happens if my wife leaves me, I am screwed. No job, no money to fend for myself

Full time? No. The first few years of my kids lives? Absolutely. I’m currently a stay at home mom for my 5 month old first child, and plan to be for his first 3 years. I plan to have a second child when he’s 2-3 years old, so I’ll be a stay at home mom for their first 3 years too.
I am a very happy stay-at-home mom of two little girls. Stay-at-home to me just means I can arrange my schedule around the needs of my family. During this time, I have served on two Boards of Directors of non profit organizations, am active in my community in various ways, have taken college level child development and nutrition courses in addition to my BA Degree, and am working on numerous writing projects.
I could be happy if I also had a side hustle of some kind, & ofc if my partner is happy to be the main/only breadwinner & our relationship/family is doing good. Then I could be happy as stay-at-home mom. :)
Yes I think I would be very happy as a Stay-At-Home mom. I have traditional values and I believe that for me it would be ideal.
Yess I am currently a stay at home mom and I love being able to devote my life to raising my kids
For sure. Right up until my wife divorces me for being one 😂
Honestly nope, I don't like staying at home that much, even with a baby with me, I'd still want to go to work, do someone else
I was one, of 4 children and would never change it.
Yes, I would love that. 😊
Nope, I'd honestly probably kill the kid.
Absolutely not lol
Very unlikely.
Nah I'd have to make my money
